Jackie Collins has died

People article here

From the article:

"It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death of our beautiful, dynamic and one of a kind mother, Jackie Collins, who died of breast cancer today," the Collins family tells PEOPLE in a statement.

Collins was 77.

...and her sister, Joan, influenced the women of several generations; the 70s and 80s in particular.

That was a brave thing for Jackie to choose to fight cancer privately. In the end, we all face death alone.

She was a strong woman. She will be missed.
