Source: Lovemeow
Bindi the cat had been seen at a campground in Indiana this summer but shed never let anyone get close to her until three days ago, she ran up to two campers and started meowing for help. She needed help because she was so pregnant it looked like she could have kittens any minute.
Jennifer of Here Kitty Kitty Rescue told Love Meow: Many of the campers had seen her around but would never get close enough to touch Bindi. People would throw food to her and she would take it and run.
The day before delivery she approached two of our volunteers here at the rescue who like to camp there and walked right up to them meowing for food. She must have sensed the fondness they have for felines. They were able to sit right next to her as she gladly accepted the kitty food she was given.
They were able to pet her and bring her to the rescue. Its almost hard to believe that no one could touch her because her personality is very loving and grateful. (Follow them on Facebook)
Not even 12 hours after Bindi arrived in the rescue, she went into labor.

(28,075 posts)They had been feeding it and trying to coax it closer to them but hadn't had a lot of luck.
One morning she looked out the window and could see the cat lying dead in the backyard. She sent her husband out to deal with the cat and as he opened the backdoor he found one tiny, newborn kitten on the back porch. That poor mama cat had used her last ounce of strength to get her kitten to where she knew he'd be found and cared for. She had been so skinny they had had no idea she was pregnant. The searched all over their yard and the neighbors' but didn't find any more cats. The vet did say it was possible that Mama Cat was in such poor shape one was only her body could manage.
So the kitten was taken into the vet that morning, it was confirmed he was only a few hours old, they got instructions on how to care for a kitty so little and they had him for 18 years.

(14,573 posts)Frankl, one of my favorite psychologists/philosophers said that we define our own reason for living by virtue of our love for our families, and if we're really lucky, our devotion to a cause or causes greater than ourselves.
I would add kittens to that.
I'm serious, too.

(32,076 posts)Three nights later, one delivered 3 kittens on top of their sleeping 6 year old. Yes. On top of her. Somewhat gory, but the child was delighted...
Two days later the young "male" delivered 2 in the family room.
