- Good news first: The teenager survived.

- First police report: He was running away, drew a gun, fired at the cops, the cops fired back.

- No gun was found on the scene, despite a search ranging from the same night into the next morning, including trained dogs. No bullets other than those fired by the cops were found on the scene.

- The police ordered firemen to look out for a gun on the roof of a neighbouring house. Nothing. (This search was left out of the reports.)

- 12 hours later, a gun was found... 150 feet from the spot where the teenager had been shot and according to police-accounts under the wheel of an emergency-vehicle.

- Second police report, two days later: The cops stopped to question some teenagers. One of them ran away. During the foot-chase the teenager reached for his waistband and the cops shot him.

- Third police report, eleven days after the shooting: The teenager was holding a gun during the foot-chase and pointed it at the cops. Then they shot him. Eleven days after the shooting the cops decide to charge him with aggravated assault and weapons offenses.

- Witnesses dispute that the teenager fired first.

- While on the stretcher, the teenager was screaming "Why did they shoot me?"

- The cops are now under investigation for leaking confidential information... by themselves.
