Growing chatter about a possible coup against Speaker John Boehner has set Capitol Hill on edge.
Talk that conservatives might use a government-funding showdown to overthrow the powerful Ohio Republican has triggered a flurry of behind-the-scenes jockeying among lawmakers eager to move up the leadership ladder.
And that has lawmakers wondering more than ever if Boehners days as Speaker are numbered.
Thats what tells you theres something afoot. You know theres some drops of blood in the water, because all the sharks are starting to circle, said one conservative lawmaker who backs Boehner's ouster.

OP
The obvious fakery of the PP smear could potentially take down the whole GOP. Seems to me

I don't think we have seen anything yet. It is going to the worst tea party person possible and then we'll see how bad things will get.

Boehner understands that if a government shutdown is attempted there will be no avoiding the whole operation being exposed for what it is....and a national revelation that an entire party was willingly conned is going to get messy.

They cannot function correctly and STILL take our money via paychecks. Fire them ALL.
