Man, I would LOVE to see a Biden/Warren or Sanders/Warren ticket. Unfortunately, I don't think Hillary could do it -- two women on the ticket would be a tough sell to many people.
But anyway, she's young (relatively) so energetic and enthusiastic, and as we know, embodies what we believe in. She would be an immense help on the ticket and (looking into my crystal ball) gain the love and respect of the entire country as VP for eight years, then skip into the POTUS slot in 2024.
Amen.

(62,683 posts)I honestly marvel at all those I mentioned -- Joe, Bernie, Hillary and Warren. I often times watch one or the other on TV and think "how does he/she do it?" as I hoist my ass off my sofa and creak into the next room.

(19,460 posts)Not that I think she is old, but isn't she just a couple of years behind Hillary?

(62,683 posts)If you saw me (62) you'd think 'elderly'. You don't think that when you look at any of them.
Maybe I need to enter politics.

(14,255 posts)i doubt Hillary would choose her, unless a focus group told her it would garner more votes (not from me, it wouldn't, and I love Warren.)
Warren as VP to Hillary would just be taking her usefulness from the Senate, which is something the Third Way wants. In fact, the Third Way put an article in the WSJ saying Warren was getting out of hand and needed to be reined in.
A Sanders/Warren ticket would just be fabulous; I believe they would work together really well.
But Warren as anyone else's VP - would be a waste and would not change my vote for Bernie at all.
I know that VP picks are done at the convention, but i think that this time we will see choices floated ahead of time in the effort to get more support.

(14,255 posts)she feels about Biden's Wall Street-loving ways, though, and I don't think she would be allowed to counter that sort of thing.
I don't think she would be useful, really, to anyone but Bernie. The others - just window dressing.
How has Joe actually been more important? Serious question. I think he is just more visible because he is so affable.

(62,683 posts)I'm with her, I HATE the stuff he's done that she's referring to, but Joe has never bought stock, for example, lest his holdings affect his votes, never met with lobbyists, etc., The banking vote, IMO, was done in a misguided loyalty to the largest employer in his State. (I secretly think he deeply regrets it, and some other What Were You Thinking?? actions, but may not even admit that himself.. I could be wrong).
I think she would help Biden do what's right. He is a good man in a field of men and women who follow the bottom line instead of doing what's right.

(14,255 posts)But I appreciate your answer. Still - what exactly has Biden done as VP that makes him more important or whatever than other VP's? He is just more visible, IMO. The VP really does not do anything on his own. Always reminded me of the situation in England, the Queen as opposed to parliament. Ornamental.
The situation with Anita Hill rankles, too. Anyway, a candidate who has a lot of stuff he has done that he needs to feel sorry for - that does not do anything for me.
This primary sure is interesting. And so full of trial balloons we could have a festival!

(62,683 posts)As VP, he brought a lot of inter-party cooperation experience (he was able to get some agreement on a few things, like the old days, it's the new rabid group of R's that pretty much shut them down) and serious foreign experience chops. For e.g., he advised Obama NOT to escalate in Afghanistan. Obama ultimately listened to the military (what did he think they would suggest???) but at least he extended his decision to consider Joe's suggestion. He knows (or knew) most of the world's leaders and had established relationships with all.
Yeah, the Anita Hill thing is another thing that irritates me, but I'm more puzzled than not because he ultimately voted AGAINST Thomas, but his behavior during the hearing was whacky.
Whoever gets the nomination, I'm the first in line to vote for him/her. I may not like the ultimate "winner" but no Dem could make my blood run cold like seeing a Republican enter the Oval Office.
I can hardly wait until the debates because as Bernie keeps saying, the majority of people don't know who he is. Hopefully more than political junkies will tune in. :=)

(22,271 posts)That would be Game Over. Just for the record, I doubt seriously if she will weigh in until the nominee has been decided but I can dream.

(62,683 posts)already in Bernie's camp, don't you think?
But yeah, it would be nice to get an endorsement pre-primary vote.
