Boehner's Resignation A Bad Sign. Now The Crazies Will Be On The Loose.

We will now have to deal with the nut cases in Congress who will shut down everything. We will have to go to war with these insurgents who want to destroy the country and install theocracy. If you think its bad now. It will get a whole lot worse.

who best can control the crazies - Hillary, Bernie, Joe - in this case Joe might be the best choice.

Boehner's control fell apart some time ago. Do you really believe that the shutdowns, shutdown threats, endless Benghazi hearings, bizarre press statements, etc. have been with his blessing? Boehner has been holding on with teeth and toenails to a certain portion of his party members only.

I doubt things can get much crazier in the hands of McCarthy. Once they're "in control," the dumbass right has to govern, and will find itself limited to the same fun and games it's playing now with nobody left on its own side to act out against. They either continue at about this level, or they'll truly self-destruct.

For years Boehner has for the most part shielded the public from seeing just how bat shit crazy the tea baggers are. If a tea bagger is in charge it will hurt in the short run, they will block everything and try to shut down the government every 30 days. When the people see, truly see, what it is like with them in charge it will cause most to be voted out the next cycle, this also ends any hope they had of winning the WH back in 2016. The next 12-18 months will be painful but the end result will be wonderful and we might be able to really fix some issues in the future

Since, inevitably, the Republicans will take back over at least one house of Congress in the 2018 midterm elections.

LOTS of nasty, smelly shit comes pouring out. It's a mess. It's disgusting. If it's old enough, it might even make people physically ill to smell.

But it's the only way for the damned thing to heal. For the boil to go away.

Yup, the Republicans are gonna lose their shit. There's no more fig leaf. And eventually - sooner rather than later - they're going to collapse.

The House will be as impotent and chaotic as ever. The conservatives got the hide they wanted, but nothing else. A pyrrhic victory.

It won't make the GOP stronger. It will break them up into factions and they won't be able to vote as a block. The sane ones who have been cowering in the shadows will be able to come out an vote with the Democrats on certain issues. There will be no one in the House who can enforce the Hastert Rule.
