Jindal: "You know {Trump} hasn't read the Bible because his name’s not in the Bible."

What the hell does that mean? What could he be thinking of when he spat out that word salad?

Here's the context (which really doesn't help, frankly):

Jindal: Trump Isn’t a Conservative, 'He’s a Narcissist'

Jindal said he appreciated Trump’s outsider approach to the campaign, and that he “loved” when Trump released Sen. Lindsey Graham's (R-SC) cell number on live TV and gave helicopters to kids at the Iowa State Fair. But he said the nominee for the Republican Party would have to be a policy wonk, not a "narcissist."

“He doesn’t care about policy,” Jindal said. “We as conservatives have a choice to make: are we going to turn to our conservative principles or are we going to turn to a man who cares about nothing but himself?”

“He said his favorite book was the Bible but folks he hasn’t read the Bible," Jindal said. "You know he hasn’t read the Bible because his name’s not in the Bible."

The audience applauded loudly.

I'm not sure how many prophets named Bobby the Lord sent to reform Judea in the book of Judges, but I'm pretty sure Trump can explain why the Book of Job is really about his woes in the real estate market.

Don't think of most Republicritters as jokesters. Yes, that is a good one.

involves repeating his "Well, you're only at 1%" line--like he's comparing penis size.

a steady drumbeat of Jindahl, Huckabee, and Rubio ads. All awful. All sounding like hate-filled sermons invoking their god. I want them to go home. They've gotten to the point where they cry persecution when met with criticism. The left was too kind to these people when they first started up. The Christians on the left who sat silently in the pews with out a whimper hold just as much responsibilty as any Muslim who did not step up to moderation.

Not that he has far to go down, but despite lobbing that lovely bit of snark, he doesn't have the chops to take Trump on in Vilification Tennis.

Because Trump isn't personally mentioned in the Bible, there's no way Trump would spend any time on the book.

Valid snarkey point badly stated.

It sounds like the crap my mother got from her temple when she named me Thomas.

"What kind of name is that?"
"It's in the Bible."
"Yes, but not in the OLD Testament."

Per jab at The Donald's epic egotism. Isn't going to read anything that isn't written about 'The Donald!'

Trump's ego is so gigantic that he won't bother reading the Bible because he isn't in it, i.e. he only wants to read about himself.
