I did not like Boehner's tactics all the time......
but I think he tried to control the House from falling apart? It did not help, working with the extreme right wing who made it impossible to do. They were going to force him out anyway. I just hope they are smart enough to pick a new leader who can work to get things done? It might be wishful thinking, but miracles do happen. I was happy to hear him not blame POTUS or the Dems. I wish him well, but I think we will from him again.
