payments? My daughter's disability payment is due 10/7; my Social Security is due 10/14. I haven't heard anything and need to figure out what bills we have that will be impacted. Most of my/her bills are on auto pay and I need to cancel those if no money will be coming in. Thanks for any help.

(13,101 posts)I did a short search.
According to Congressman Bill Huizenga's government website; disability payments will continue
to be paid.
It will slow down and increase the backlog for those applying for disability.
Hope that helps.

I strongly encourage you to call or visit your local Social Security office for accurate information and instructions.
If Social Security representatives are not particularly helpful, contact you local State government legislative representatives or the Office of the Governor, as they usually have such information or have contacts to get it quickly.
Good luck.
Edit:
Also, here's a link about the issue that may prove helpful

(5,066 posts)and I get my check deposited directly to bank so i believe those will continue.the problem is people would no longer be able to apply for SSI during shutdown.
The real problem for SSI and SS is if GOP forces another fight on the dedt ceiling.

Seniors and Disabled can rest asured as in all past shutdown threats they are first heads on the chopping block.
