It's going to be strange without Jon but I will try to watch with an open mind and give the new host some time to settle in. Anybody else tuning in?

(43,182 posts)The jokes are funny, Trevor seems affable enough, but I just can't help but think of Jon Stewart still delivering the jokes.

(9,999 posts)Thinking: Jon would have said it this way or Jon would have had this look on his face. I miss Jon but if Trevor has the talent that Jon seemed to think he has, then I guess time will tell. Like I said, trying to keep an open mind and give him a chance. I did like the new Senior Mars Correspondent - he was pretty funny.

(14,093 posts)He seems to be doing jokes that were written to be delivered by Stewart. And, at times, it just made me think how much better Jon would have delivered a few of them.
But he wasn't bad, just a lot of room to improve. And he's quite likable.
I'm sure they'll work things out and he'll grow into the job and they'll figure out his strengths and play to them. Having the old correspondents still there will be a big asset.
I'd rate his first night a low "B."

(4,238 posts)I had low expectations. I loved Jon so much I didn't think anyone could replace him. But Trevor did really well!
