Identify the root cause of the anger. Is it the way they attack women's rights in the most underhanded way? Is it because they say they are God fearing, when in fact they fear people? Is it because they refuse to acknowledge the harm they have done to this nation via their economic goals?

Or is there another root cause to hate the SOB's?

They are rude and intentionally cruel in their display of self righteous dismissal of women and families and their needs.

That makes me angry.

I looked up the definition of hate..

hate
hāt/
verb
1.
feel intense or passionate dislike for (someone).
"the boys hate each other"
synonyms: loathe, detest, despise, dislike, abhor, execrate; More
antonyms: love
have a strong aversion to (something).
"he hates flying"
used politely to express one's regret or embarrassment at doing something.
"I hate to bother you"
synonyms: be sorry, be reluctant, be loath, be unwilling, be disinclined; More
informal
express strong dislike for; criticize or abuse.
"I can't hate on them for trying something new"
noun
noun: hate
1.
intense or passionate dislike.
"feelings of hate and revenge"
synonyms: hatred, loathing, detestation, dislike, distaste, abhorrence, abomination, execration, aversion; More

13. There was an interview on The Nightly Show with the drug-price-hike dude
Tue Sep 29, 2015, 11:40 AM
Sep 2015

The other day, Larry showed part of an interview with the guy who raised the drug prices of the AIDS drug from 13.50 to 750.00. That guy commented that it was only $1000 for a run of the drug that saved one's life. The implication was that saving your life was worth a lot more, so he should charge more. There was no connection as to whether it was right or wrong to make a huge profit off of people who were dying, and in a capitalist society he's absolutely right: the only value is money, so you do everything you can to make money.

The republicans seem to be in a similar state: their only goal is to keep themselves employed. They do that by getting rich people to support their campaigns, so they can run more ads, etc. Therefore they do whatever the rich want. Making the country run well doesn't have any place in the equation. Fairness or morality don't have any place in the equation. I should clarify that: actually doing anything to further fairness or morality doesn't have any place, although talking about it to get the votes of suckers does have a place.

I don't know - it's totally normal to be full of hatred for people who are doing some pretty awful things. And they certainly earn it with their terrible programs and general nastiness.

That said, being full of hatred all the time isn't good for your mental health. Do what you can to decompress. What inspires in the long run isn't hatred and despair but hope for a better world. If you can keep your focus on that, you can slam into the republicans as necessary without being angry all the time.

Easier said than done though; as our republican friends go out of their way to slam into us.

But the truth is that they do so much damage!! They're policies and their sick, twisted way of thinking have the potential to hurt EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US. I know being angry and hating them back doesn't do me any good, but it's so hard to stay informed AND stay calm. I haven't managed to find a balance yet. And then I get mad at the people who say, "Oh, I just don't care about politics." Tue Sep 29, 2015, 01:34 PM
Sep 2015

I saw the Grand Inquisitor's opening remarks and just shook my head in my coffee.

These guys are too pathetic to hate. They just aren't worth the bile. Voting them out of office won't change them, but it will make them irrelevant and that's really the best we can do. They'll still be spewing their silly little rants against the 21st century, but there will be no CSPAN cameras around to broadcast the nonsense. At best, a few of the better known racists and misogynists might get a gig filling in for Limbaugh or Beck while they go on vacation or even become a contributor to FoxNews and provide his viewers steer manure in response to a question from Megyn Kelly, but only the morbidly curious and terminally bored among us will pay any attention (and then claim they watch FoxNews so the rest of us won't have to).

I'll just let it go today. I expect the Tea Party Fascists to repeat the lies provided by the Center for Medical Progress and for Ms Richards to refute it with actual, verifiable facts and for the Inquisitors ask more questions like they didn't hear the answer to the previous one.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

It's time to take this bit of reality television off the air.

It is amazing how little they know and propagate online. So I get an outlet by giving them the facts. Like shooting fish in a barrel.

and hearing them! I utterly loath them AND our media! I deal with it by coming here and also watching Thom Hartmann on Free Speech TV. However, today I'm turning the TV off and reading a book that has nothing to do with politics.

I curse the GOP men and women to suffer for their idiotic stance. Let their daughters and granddaughters get pregnant, suffer STDs, face the life dilemmas PP could help them deal with. Let them skip getting needed care such as exams because they can't pay. Let their daughters suffer the fate they condemned all young and poor women to. Let their daughters face the world as unwed mothers because they had no access to birth control or because they were sexually assaulted. Let them get pregnant by the kind of pigs Republicans attract. Let their nieces suffer genital warts, chlamydia, menstrual problems. Seriously, I am sick of their behavior.

As easy as they make it, we must resist the inclination to hate.

Pity them, they are fools who will be destroyed by their own folly. We can't change their minds, we can only hope to educate those not completely lost to foolishness.

Today's conservatives would be considered pathetic and liberal by their forerunners, who bombed, beat, tortured and burned as their initial conversation opener. I'm reading 'The Great Migration' by Isabel Wilkerson, and the descriptions of conservative terrorism are chilling.

Willis McCall, sheriff in Alabama, for instance. 'Big Hat', as they called him, routinely murdered black men as entertainment. His primary job was to invent fines for local black people so they could be assigned to work 16 hour days seven days a week for local planters -- slavery by any other name.

A local white woman claimed that she had been raped by three black men (she recanted later, it was a white neighbor), and so McCall rounded up three random black men, handcuffed them, took them out into the woods and shot them. One survived and crawled back to town still in handcuffs to tell the story -- a judge sentenced him to life in prison for the rape, even though he was able to prove that he had been in court when the rape was committed. McCall was never charged, the matter was never investigated. The falsely-accused survivor served life in prison.

My point is -- they've been around a long time, these monsters, and now they're fading out faster than ever before. Slowly but surely, conservative memes are disappearing from the earth. These current clowns have a mere shadow of the power they used to wield. A few generations and they'll be historical smoke.

I do understand, very much. I struggle with the same rage, every day. I can't talk politics with any conservative or libertarian, period, ever. Words like 'murderer', 'genocidal psychopath', and 'treasonous traitor' immediately come out of my mouth, and I mean them.

History says they're soon to be isolated and dying out. Not soon enough, but it's happening.

Perhaps some day some of them will recover. Most likely not. Be comforted in knowing that many others are fighting against them, and don't let it get personal.

I have been harboring this Reagan and which skyrocketed when Newt Gingrich ascending to the Speaker of House. From that point forward all matter of civility, courtesy and dignity has diminished from the US Gov't. The GOP is now an overt (vs formerly covert) mass of nasty hatred and bigotry.

I just keep pressing the peeps I know to register and VOTE. IF they don't vote they don't have the right to complain.
