Elizabeth Warren: My three recommendations before midnight

Hi XXX,

We need a Democrat to win the White House in 2016.

But no matter who wins the presidential election, so long as the Republicans control Capitol Hill, they can keep making reckless threats to shut down the federal government, to shut down the Department of Homeland Security, to stop funding Social Security Disability Insurance – one fabricated crisis after another.

That’s why I’m fighting my heart out to take back the Democratic majority in the Senate in 2016. Believe me: Senate elections are powerfully important too.

I’m sure you’re getting a lot of emails today about the big fundraising deadline tonight. I wanted to give my three recommendations for Senate candidates who could really use your help before midnight tonight:

Kamala Harris: I worked with California Attorney General Kamala Harris when she stood up to the big banks and fought for California homeowners. She’s smart, she’s tough, and she’ll be a terrific replacement for Barbara Boxer in the Senate. Think California is safe? Remember this: Barbara Boxer had to spend $29 million to beat Carly Fiorina in 2010. Let’s make sure Kamala is ready for whatever comes her way.

Russ Feingold: I just got back from Wisconsin, and wow – Russ Feingold is building a terrific grassroots campaign. That’s probably why he’s leading Ron Johnson in the polls, and why the political pundits say this is one of Democrats’ top pickup opportunities in 2016. Let’s do everything we can to send Russ Feingold to the Senate.

Ted Strickland: Former Ohio Governor Ted Strickland is an experienced, independent leader who wants to be a strong partner in the Senate to our friend Sherrod Brown. Like many Ohio races, he’s neck and neck in the polls with his Republican opponent Rob Portman, and early grassroots support can make a big difference.
Democratic control of the Senate means that we set the agenda again – with amazing new partners committed to fighting for working families. That’s what I’m fighting for, and I hope you’ll fight alongside me.

Donate now to Ted, Kamala, and Russ’s campaigns before their important deadline at midnight tonight. Even $5 is a big help when we all work together.

Thank you for being a part of this,

Elizabeth
