I devoutly wish the United States would follow Australia's example and initiate strong gun control laws. Sadly, it appears the U.S. is too "exceptional" for this to occur in my lifetime.

So for all you little fainthearted lurkers out there who might be aghast at the notion of politicizing a mass shooting, issues surrounding such tragedies do in fact relate to the well-being of the citizens.

They should be politicized.
