Lowell students suspended after racists texts (MA)

Six students at a Massachusetts high school have been suspended in the wake of a racially-charged group text conversation that followed the election of a black student as senior class president.
Lowell High School officials are investigating the exchange, including the use of common racial epithets, that occurred Tuesday ...
... the school has students from more than 60 countries and "we take great pride in the fact that we get along incredibly well here," adding that "we need to do a better job at understanding cultures and respecting cultures."
