Beijing holds a military parade for the kiddos!

So, apparently yesterday Beijing held a children's version of last month's Victory Day Parade and OMG! It is so much better!

According to organizers, this isn't the first such National Day kids parade. The intent is to instill in the young children a profound respect for the revolutionary martyrs, a deep memory for the PRC's history and a strong commitment to taking forward the great heritage of revolutionary spirit.

At first we had a really hard time deciding if this was adorable or terrifying, but those darn over-sized caps swung it. CUTE!

Maybe one day these kids will be lucky enough to enter university and learn what it really takes to be a PLA soldier.
