Jefferson Davis marker at Sewell may be relocated (TX)

... Although the plaque is a road marker, the Texas Department of Transportation does not have jurisdiction over the memorial since it is on university property, Bell-Metereau said.

Weill said it is likely the marker will be relocated rather than removed and destroyed.
