'If that doesn’t make you flinch, consider this: In America, more preschoolers are shot dead each year (82 in 2013) than police officers are in the line of duty (27 in 2013), according to figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the FBI.'

I wish there were fewer deaths in either group.

If it's not on your person it can't save lives, if it's not locked up it could become a hazard to anyone.

random people shot by gun owners is a small price to pay for the right to own guns!

What we need to start saying when someone is shot....

'Oh well that is the price of freedom' and move on.

This is the America we the people created, learn to deal with it.

Investing in the funeral business would be wise advice if you want to make some coin off of freedom.

Nobody wants to deal with the root problem. Violence is only the answer of last resort. It's a quick and impulsive reaction for years of otherwise social failure. It's the ultimate CTRL- ALT-DEL.

From a social standpoint the world is becoming simple and wants fast answers for complex problems.

We have a right to life and liberty but don't want to apply the difficult solutions to resolve the base problems. We apply violence as the easy impulsive last resort frustration answer.

Think deep brother.

Shooting deaths since Newton have exceed the number of US dead in Vietnam

Face it America prefers dead kids and mass shootings over all else
