Ever notice something about "prophets?"

They are always, 100% dead wrong, unless they make a "prediction" that is so vague or so obvious.

"There will be trouble in the Middle East..."
Duh...

"A bad storm or earthquake will strike somewhere in the world..."
Again, duh...

But there are two groups of people that actually do make a living "predicting" the future.
Stockbrokers and weather forecasters.
Now how long would either of them last on the job if they had a 100% record of being dead wrong?
Easy answer: Hardly at all.

Jonathan Cahn: Hurricane Joaquin May Hit DC As Punishment For Gay Marriage

Submitted by Brian Tashman on Monday, 10/5/2015 12:25 pm

It looks like Jonathan Cahn has blown another prophecy.

Over the weekend, Family Research Council President Tony Perkins interviewed Cahn about his recent speech at the FRC-hosted Values Voter Summit. Cahn, who gained Religious Right fame after predicting, unsuccessfully, that last month would be a period of chaos and turmoil, possibly culminating in a massive financial collapse or natural disaster, now says that his September doomsday prophecy actually extends all the way until September 2016.

In his interview with Perkins, Cahn pointed to Hurricane Joaquin as a sign of God’s wrath for America’s legalization of gay marriage, legal abortion and the United Nation’s treatment of Israel, suggesting that the hurricane would strike Washington, D.C., because that’s “where the leadership is.”

...and nothing more, because I don't believe in prophets, but still: If there really was a prophet whose words actually came true...do you really think we, as citizens, would be allowed to know about it? That the Moneyed Interests wouldn't have that individual disappeared to an unreachable weapons lab in about 20 seconds flat?

It's an interesting thought experiment, at least. But as I noted, I don't really believe in prophets. I am also open-minded enough to consider any evidence someone might have, though. Of course, if someone were to have evidence, it would ruin my entire thought exercise.

Decisions, decisions!

The "psychic predictions" in supermarket tabloids, near New Years.

We'd save them for a year, then look at them after the New Year.

And every time, and this was over several years, mind you, every time, once we took out the really vague, or really obvious "predictions," every single "prediction" was dead wrong.

These assholes like Jim Bakker, or this Cahn guy, or any other "Biblical prophet" are just as bad.
100% dead wrong. On every "prophecy" they make, or "interpret" from the Bible.
