1. Carson is a perfect example of the power of personality over intellect.

Like so many, Carson starts out believing what he wants to and in short order is able to believe ONLY that.

The Jews weren't much more than 1% of all Germans, but that didn't keep Germany's social and religious conservatives from eagerly swallowing Hitler's lies that they had to stop the Jews from destroying the Fatherland.

They were actually quite successful at first, killing or injuring dozens of Nazi soldiers and even repelling armored vehicles and tanks with often-times homemade weapons.

Ultimately, however, they were wiped out when the Germans decided to bring significant firepower against them.
