So what's the speculation - that RYAN is coming back into our lives?!1

(This is not a "news" item. It's guessing & asking for guesses.)

For me, the TeaBaggers victory (wreaking chaos) in the Repuke world, specifically the Speakership, is fantastic because it means that they thought the Drop-out (he's a non-person now, no name needed) was TO THE LEFT?!1 of Boner, so they will install one of their own nutcases and then they will proceed to parade their nutcase, House-only-victories to the nation for the next twelve months before the election, thereby making the electorate thoroughly sick of them.

But what if they resurrect RYAN, who is as wingnut as they are but has a semblance of verbal coherence. He's been almost decently OUT of our public lives unlike the PALIN and Mc5Planes, but he's (coming?) back, arrgh!1

2. The entire caucus is wingnuts, so what is the alternative when the Democrats

have lost the House with a lame campaign in 2010, 2012, and 2014.

Really, the only question I have is whether Ryan has the courage to take a job where there is nothing to win, and then to work with the democrats in order to assure the bare minimum, keeping the government open and not default on the debt. Sadly, that is probably all we can expect from any Republican.

This said, I do not know whether Ryan is that insane as to take this job, and courageous enough to do what is needed. I doubt it on both count.

3. It won't be Ryan.

Ryan's entire schick is for people to not look too closely at his "wonky proposals".

The whole facade got close to tumbling down when he put out his "budget", but our lazy-ass media provided barely enough cover for him to remain "serious".

Speakership means people look closely, and notice all the magic asterisks. And then he's just another wingnut.

Not to mention he whips votes so poorly the House wouldn't even pass a budget he designed.

I'm not sure they can agree on any replacement, so the teabaggers may be stuck with the man they hate.
