Gov. Sam Brownback in deep hole with Kansans

http://www.kansascity.com/news/local/news-columns-blogs/the-buzz/article41315862.html

Lots of numbers in a new statewide survey of Kansas from Fort Hays State University, but here’s the stunner:

Only 18 percent of state residents said they were “very” or “somewhat satisfied” with GOP Gov. Sam Brownback.

Kansas, in case there’s any misunderstanding, is a heavily Republican state.

President Barack Obama, long a punching bag for Republicans, rated higher. Some 28 percent of respondents expressed satisfaction with the Democratic chief executive.

Poor Brownshirt. Or is it Throwback?

The only poll that counts is held on election day, and as long as the ruling party has control of the voting machines, they have nothing to worry about. The people may hate them, loathe them, fear them, even want them dead, but as long as the citizens of Kansas don't hold their elected officials accountable or vote them out of office, transient public opinion polls don't faze them.

8. He is Exhibit A in how Dems have been unable to capitalize on Repub failings.

By any measure, he should have been defeated in 2014. The Dem candidate was solid and campaigned strongly on education - which should be a winner for us - but he lost.

We have to find a way to convince voters that good Dems (like Paul Davis, the Dem candidate in 2014) are better than bad Repubs. Unfortunately the Democratic Party has been so vilified in red states that horrible Repubs like Brownback are elected despite absolutely horrible records. This must be an absolute priority for our party.

She is not at all sure Brownback actually won the recent election, and is suing the state to make the voting machine tapes available for an audit.

15. Yes, I am aware of the case as I live in the state; but a victory changes nothing before 2018.

Even if she wins her case, performs her audit and uncovers massive election fraud, Brownback will remain in office until January 2019 when his successor takes over. There will be no re-vote, recall or impeachment. The Republican dominated legislature will not change any election laws that will prevent future election theft. Dems will need massive gains in 2016 just to remind Duce the Repub numbers in the legislature below supermajority levels. Removing them from the majority is simply not going to happen and nothing will change as long as they are in charge.

A court victory and fraud findings might prompt changes in other states. However, no changes will be coming to KS under any circumstances outside of an impossible election miracle.

This guy is rigging elections in Kansas while claiming he's fighting voter fraud. He is a pathological liar and hopefully sometime soon his misdeeds well get exposed and he can go take his place in the Crossbar Motel. It's pretty sad & pathetic that a state could willingly follow the Pied Piper's of Kansas off the cliff.
