'Hugging dogs' whose heartbreaking photo from inside animal shelter brought them internet fame find a home together after being adopted by two best friends
Dogs Kala and Keira were seen huddled together in the snap shared by the Atlanta charity Angels Among Us Pet Rescue in June
The Facebook post quickly went viral and was reported across the country
Kala, an 11-month old hound mix and Keira, a 15-month old boxer mix, have now been adopted by two best friends who live together in Atlanta
