I am done with the media and their think group narrative.

Frankly, I entered yesterday's debate with little patience for the political media, left, right, and center, and their process analysis that seems to be more about saying exactly the same thing the next guy says (just as if they were thinking : if somebody is wrong, everybody is wrong and we will not be blamed). I have already given with this type of political analysis in 2004 and 2008 (Kerry was done and Obama could not be elected, and in 2012 -- He had lost the 1st debate and was done!!!! Hello President Romney).

This year seems to be even worse as they are clearly unable to understand the reason Trump and Carson are at the top (I cannot either, BTW). Oh, and they had decided Walker was the guy! Really? Somehow, they had decided it would not be Bush (not that I like the guy in style or substance), so it must be Rubio and Bush was going away (no matter he has plenty of cash -- including in his own campaign coffers and that he is solidly second tier with Rubio and Cruz. It will not be him!). Probably Rubio!

First, what I find amazing, even before the debate, is that nobody is outraged that they are skewing the primaries one way or another with their reporting of death spiral (or of unrelatable Hillary, but there are less Democrats, so it is less notable).

I had some hope for this debate as it was about the economy, something people could actually relate, contrarily to foreign policy. I also had hope because John Harwood was one of the moderator and, until today, I found him one of the most serious people in the media. But, the debate was horrible. People were allowed to lie without being called out. Some questions were inane while candidates were not asked to answer serious questions that were important for all. For example, half of the candidates were not asked about their tax plans or their education plan, but we had time for fantasy football and asking Trump if he was a media villain? Seriously.

And, after they had lost control of the debate, we learned that we could reduce the tax code to THREE pages, that a flat tax was good for people at the bottom of the scale. The HP CEO who bought COMPAQ told us that consolidation was BAD without being called on it (and this is only to talk about questions that were relevant)!

Ironically, the person responsible for this mess (Reince Preibus) came and complained about the debate (he was right, but whose fault is it!!!), And then, we were back into the same group think! Rubio was great! Bush was done! While it is true that Bush's performance was not great (probably because he was the most reasonable of the bunch, which does not tell us a lot), it is unclear why Rubio was supposed to have won. Except for his line about being the son of a millworker (sorry, I got confused, a bar tender), I am unsure where he won? By comparing himself to McCain and Kerry, two people hated by the right? By lying about his personal finances issues? By saying platitudes after platitudes?

Personally, I thought that this debate was won by Cruz and Christie (not that I like their ideas, but their performances were solid). As for Bush being done, the truth is that this primary reminds me 2004 for the Democrats. I do not know how it will end (not a Republican), but I have the same feeling of the media being absolutely idiotic, but certain of themselves.

So, enough with the media (and it includes the left as well as the right here. Same in the same bag. Useless and dangerous.

skew the polls in one direction. It doesn't make sense. Seems to me you are fishing for reason why a candidate is not doing well other than he doesn't have a lot of support in the party.

Because I can assure you I am totally uninterested by any of these guys doing well. I am afraid at the idea that any of them could win.

a rapidly expanding group of folks who are coming to the realization that it's past time to "Shut That Whole Thing Down" when it comes to corporate media propaganda relentlessly re-explained by a flock of well paid Parrots parroting the carnival barkers, who are busily barking at the carnival goers. (no offense to parrots, carnivals, carnival barkers or carnival attendees )

They would say where the candidates were speaking and how they were doing in whatever meaningless poll of the day, but they would never tell the American people what they were speaking about, what the policy differences were, or anything else constructive. No wonder most voters are dumbed down, low information voters, the media are talking about a horse race, dispensing with the whole thing quickly so they can move on to some chicken brained celebrity's latest publicity stunt.

Those blow dried bobbleheads are doing their part to kill this country.

The funny part was how little I missed the ritual of turning on the evening news. That habit was the easiest one I've ever had to break.
