http://www.broadcastingcable.com/news/currency/gop-suspends-presidential-debate-nbc-s-telemundo/145432The Republican National Committee has suspended plans to have a presidential primary debate on NBC Universals Spanish-language network Telemundo.
In a letter to Andrew Lack, chairman of NBC News, Reince Priebus, chairman of the RNC cited that Wednesday nights debate on CNBC was the reason for the suspension.
The CNBC network is one of your media properties, and its handling of the debate was conducted in bad faith. We understand that NBC does not exercise full editorial control over CNBCs journalistic approach. However, the network is an arm of your organization, and we need to ensure there is not a repeat performance, he said.
"While debates are meant to include tough questions and contrast candidates visions and policies for the future of America, CNBCs moderators engaged in a series of gotcha questions, petty and mean-spirited in tone, and designed to embarrass our candidates. What took place Wednesday night was not an attempt to give the American people a greater understanding of our candidates policies and ideas,' Priebus said.

Way to reach out to Latino voters, RNC PR BS! Rubio, Bush and Cruz could not be reached for comment.

My guess is that they will use the CNBC fiasco as an excuse to cut back all the debates.

(78,249 posts)4. Interesting.
Could there be a DWS-like figure in their ranks who's looking to do that? But why? Their top two candidates at the moment are both anti-establishment.

I think after 2000 and 2004, they are going to have a much harder time stealing the WH.

they could even have a town-hall style gathering focused on issues of interest to Latinos.
