Well well well, the good doctor plays it fast and loose with the truth, it seems. According to recent news reports, Dr. Ben Carson wasn’t the badass he pretended to be in his past (more quiet and studious, why this is a BAD thing I don’t know); never applied to West Point, much less turned down a scholarship; and thinks the Egyptian pyramids were constructed to store grains. Okay, the last one isn’t a lie, it’s just bizarre.

The “West Point” lie has become particularly contentious today, with Team Carson pushing back hard on the idea that the good Doctor “lied” in some way about his West Point scholarship. But gee, it’s kinda hard to argue a point made in his own autobiography, “Gifted Hands,” isn’t it? Of a transcript of an interview with the New York Times?

Of course, those GOP voters who read don’t likely read the NY Times, nor do they spend any serious time vetting their candidates. Otherwise, would Donald I’d like to sleep with my daughter Trump be at the top f the polls?

Then again . . . .
