Ben Carson: Used and soon to be jettisoned by the repugs

Seems he's served his purpose, which was to be the token black candidate of the Republicans to show that they aren't a racist party.

He will soon join the ranks of Herman Caine, Alan Keys, Armstrong Williams and Michael Steele, et al who all played, unwittingly, the role of useful tool, or should I say "fool", who have all experienced their unexpected day of reckoning when their shelf life has expired and they are no longer needed.

I wonder if today, with all the media, even FOX (Megan Kelly, Bill O'Reilly) and other right wing media, jumping in on Politico and CNN's breaking of the "alleged violent youth" and "non-existent Westpoint scholarship" stories is to be the day of recognition for yet another tom that his utility has run its course as repug backs are now turned, even though all of that stuff was right there in his book all along, published years ago in 1996.

Why is it suddenly being scrutinized and in the news now?

Well, the Republicans have, and since we're talking repugs I'll use a W Bushism, officially covered their asses. They've had a black candidate front and center in the three nationally televised debates and allegedly, even front-running in some polls. Who can call them the racist party now after all that?

But with the actual primaries getting close it is time to get down to business, separate the wheat from the chaff so to speak, and get the right white male nominated.

Christie and Huckabee have been demoted to the kiddie table and Lindsay Graham, the "bro with no ho", has been cut from that even, along with George "Who?" Pataki. Carly, hoisted on her own petard of lies, will probably be next, after all, she has served her usefulness as well by inserting some estrogen into the testosterone-centric sea of white male faces on the debate stages to counter Hillary on the Dem side.

Wonder if Carson will be bitter?

That sure seemed to be surfacing as he, the soft-spoken, non-threatening, right kind of black guy, showed several flashes of irritation in today's news conference.

It happens to the best of them, Ben — toms that is.
