More than 1,500 Berkeley High students staged a protest after a Web page made to look like the school's home page made references to the Ku Klux Klan and included racial slurs and threats against black students, including a note reading, "Public lynching December 9th 2015."

But then again, I helped occupy the administration building on my college campus as the president (fleeing to a vacation to Florida) decided to cut scholarships for Economic Educational Opportunities (these scholarships tended to go to mostly African American students).

Even the high school students are politically conscious and don't take kindly to that kind of sh_t.

Much contrast to a segment of the student body protesting in favor of "Officer Slam" in the police violence case in South Carolina.

Go Berkeley! I used to live two blocks from there back in the day on Grant and Bancroft.
