I worked at a preschool where parents were asked to come ever so often and help at their child's
class recess.
It broke my heart to see a little child standing next to a parent on the playground waiting for
the parent to get off the phone and play with him/her; sometimes standing there all recess.

(12,882 posts)that old comic strip detective. Remember his "two-way wrist radio"??? And we all thought : How cool would THAT be, eh???? Well, we've leap-frogged that simple technology and it's NOT cool.

(53,521 posts)When I see kids at the playground it pretty much like how it has always been. I don't see them texting, and I'm sure none of them have a cell phone.
This is just old folks throwing a "kids these days" fit.
