The Moronic Gun Freaks Ignore An Important Fact

Yes, I did start my topic with an insult, oh well.

One thing that escapes me is the fact that the vast majority of these mass killers not only come armed to bear with multiple semi-automatic weapons, but they also often have BULLET PROOF BODY ARMOUR.

It absolutely Amazes me that these gun morons who rush out to buy new weapons whenever something like this happens, think that somehow they will defy the odds and be able to use their weapons to stop massacres like this.

The IDIOTS who say, well....if the Sandy Hook teachers had guns.....or the folks in Paris has guns......or the Planned Parenthood workers had guns, they could have stopped the violence.

FUCKING WRONG!! The battalion of cops and Swat team could barely contain these killers, and that was after they risked their lives by confronting them. A gun did not help the officer in Colorado, did it?

So unless all the gun fanatics are prepared to go around wearing bullet proof vests 24 hours a day, the only thing confronting one of these lunatics with a gun is going to do, is get you shot and killed that much quicker. Unless you think you are a good enough shot to get them in the head before they have the opportunity to blow you away with their semi-automatic weapon.

Some moron on Faux news yesterday who worked in a building next door, said he always has a weapon in his office at the ready, and that if he had been at the center itself, he would have used it to stop the killer. Sure thing bright boy. Your toy gun would have been a great match for the 2 killers with their thousands of rounds and body armour.

The average gun schmuck is not as bright as the average gun Killer. But of course, that is not going to stop gun sales from increasing now, because people think that having a pistol is an even match for someone loaded down with guns, magazines and bullets, with the intent of killing as many as possible.

The fucking cops had an all out assault with these killers, but you are going to be far superior to them, and stop them with your handgun.

these two had LOAD BEARING gear, which was confused with BODY ARMOR. They did not wear body armor.

The NRA, the Republican Party and the media all reinforce the delusions which the gunners believe are real. It's now one massive self-propagating and never ending assault on the lives and liberties of those of us who live in the real America.

The 'good guy with a gun' is only slightly less elusive than a unicorn.

Even many concealed carry holders will tell you they aren't interested in playing the hero in an active shooter scenario. They only want to carry a firearm in case there is a direct confrontation, but otherwise they are going to focus on getting themselves and their family to safety, not on hunting down the shooter.

A) Your average violent criminal is hardly ever caught wearing bullet resistant vests.

B) Bullet resistant vests don't work the way they do in cartoons. If someone is shot in the vest, they are usually going down hard.

What was your point?

Yugo vs Mack truck. Where are the stories of a person with a pistol taking down multiple attackers armed with AR15s?

a bystander with a gun. Doesnt happen. U'd have to be in the right place at the right time which is one in a million. Kid in the Oregon shooting had a concealed gun and he ran like everybody else.

I think a lot of people have a Rambo Complex, and the NRA plays to that. These gun owners fantasize that they will stop the next mass shooting all by themselves (and that they won't shoot innocent people in the process).

But make no mistake: the NRA represents gun manufacturers. They don't act with any other goal in mind than to get guns sold.

and don't forget the entire movie/tv industry in terms of constantly promoting the "good guy with a gun hero" story line...
