Travel to Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, foreign bride, left mosque but deeply religious-- imagine

Imagine if law enforcement could cross check this information against gun ownership and ammo purchases.

Who buys huge amounts of ammo for a gun they did not legally purchase (someone else purchased some of the rifles) ?

Does that give law enforcement more information to better prioritize people to watch or be concerned about?

I feel as if law enforcement is playing with half a toolbox - so much was focused on electronic surveillance but none of that
helped to identify this shooter as a threat.
