Been Voting D Since 1972. I'll Vote For Whoever The Ds Nominate in 2016

That's the bottom line.

We have an excellent trio of candidates for president. I can comfortably and enthusiastically vote for the one who gets the nomination.

I've been voting for over 40 years, and while there have been D candidates that I've been less than crazy about, I will never vote for a Republican/Conservative, either by pulling the lever or by staying home and not voting at all. And believe me, Dems staying home is all it takes for somebody 10 times worse than W to win the WH.

I acknowledge the imperative of keeping a Rethug out of the White House.

I'm all for getting rid of the Electoral College and going to a nationwide popular vote with ranked choice to enable selecting a 3rd party candidate as your first choice and the not-GOP candidate 2nd. If we had this in 2000, Nader wouldn't have made a difference in Florida and Gore would have been president.

And the other two have a slim chance of winning my state.

So I'll have the "luxury" of a meaningless vote for the top of the ticket, and downticket will be packed with third-way-style candidates who are doing their damndest to lose again.

Woo-hoo. Feel the excitement.
