Just read in the local paper that some idiotic middle school boy (assumption here since it was on the boys bathroom wall) wrote "I am ISIS, kill everybody" and then again "I am ISIS, kill everybody by 1/26/2016" Now, we have a whole rural school district all worked up by what is no doubt a stupid prank. The school district is ready to prosecute this as a crime. Okay boys, fess up, say it was just a prank, say you didn't mean any harm and maybe you'll just get suspended for a week or so. If you don't, you are going to be in so much gawd damn trouble and this may well ruin your future. What the hell is wrong with these kids?

Kids do weird and stupid stuff just for shock value all the time. Maybe someone dared him or maybe he just wanted to get out of class.

(5,402 posts)A prank like this isn't like what we had pre 911. If a kid admits to this or is caught then his or her life is screwed. They'll be lucky if the parents can keep their jobs.

(19,460 posts)And sadly, it is just a stupid prank. This is why I am hoping that the boy or boys will come forward and hang their heads and apologize. They might just get off with a stern warning, and maybe a little butt kicking from dad.

(47,209 posts)think nothing of using a child if they could. It is super unfortunate that something like that is possible, but it raises the stakes. WTF, kid?

(30,151 posts)Had to run back to my daughters school K-5 to bring the playdough that wasn't in her bag for school. Walked in and can only enter into the main office. Assistant was in the middle of saying the pledge over the intercom with a couple selected kids, Texas anthem. blah blah...
Then during reading of new announcements she said-
"And last announcement, to whoever wiped poo on the bathroom wall please do not do that again. We want everyone to respect our school and our classmates and staff who use it"
