Missouri Democrat Files Bill To Regulate Guns Just Like Abortion, Republican Heads Explode

After years of watching her Republican colleagues regulate the hell out of women’s reproductive rights in the name of “safety,” Missouri Democratic state Rep. Stacey Newman decided to take aim of what conservative males like to stroke the most: their guns.

House Bill 1397 is designed to keep gun owners and the public safe. According to the Columbia Tribune, the measure would force gun buyers to “wait 72 hours to obtain a firearm and require purchasers to hear about gun violence and “alternatives to purchasing a firearm” including “peaceful and nonviolent conflict resolution.”

“Newman’s bill would require prospective gun buyers to visit a physician to determine whether the firearm “would increase such purchaser’s risk of experiencing an adverse physical, emotional, or other health reaction.”

Other provisions would require:

Viewing a 30-minute video on fatal firearm injuries in the presence of a licensed firearm dealer.

A tour of an emergency trauma center between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. when gun violence victims are present.

You can tell her how you like her bill at

And you can ask your own Congress person to introduce a similar bill.... why not?

Love the little explosions of GOP noggins! Good thing there isn't a lot of brain matter in those noggins to make too huge a mess.
