Some think that the shocking allowing of neighbors, dogs, babies, many reporters in the home of the San Bernardino terrorists was MEANT to contaminate the crime scene.
I suspect that a CT is in the making. Who paid the landlord to allow this? And who is paying for the family's lawyer who (reportedly) went all pro-gun on TV today?
And where did this couple get the money for the stockpile they accumulated?

(78,249 posts)County employees in CA do OK. Here in $iliValley, we have had a problem with them jumping to tech for the higher salaries, but San Bernardino County is among the poorest in the state. But the salaries aren't that great; since they're unionized, they've negotiated good benefits packages. And apparently he was an inspector, not upper management.

(14,691 posts)the proverbial fine tooth comb? In which case, I would think that whatever is left behind has been examined and found to be of no importance. I'm not excusing that media feeding frenzy though.

(50,130 posts)To a person, they were astounded. The scene was still littered with passports, IDs, documents, electronics of various kinds, many many personal photos, and so on.
Law enforcement peeps said that normally the walls would be torn apart and everything on premises that could possibly be evidentiary sealed on premises for months. Something deemed inconsequential now might be consequential later, apparently.
Also, there was no sign of fingerprint dust at the scene, according to law enforcement who watched this today. Very odd, apparently.

(4,748 posts)Conveniently the suspects were killed outright in the Bonnie and Clyde shootout. I saw no attempt to capture them alive for interrogation. Wouldn't you want to interrogate them to find out their contacts and associates?
The FBI claiming the crime scene had been cleared smells fishy. They did that in 24 hours? And no guard posted at the crime scene?
San Bernadino sheriff starts a news conference today proclaiming right off the bat "we are not hiding anything". Wow!!!
This whole thing stinks to high heaven. It feels like it's being manipulated to whip the public up into an anti-Muslim frenzy and spread even more fear among the populace.

(50,130 posts)...is that they have quite a little CT percolating already, although they believe it is Obama who had the crime scene tainted.
One of the pointed out that in the first hours following OK City bombing, the word was that a Middle Eastern perp was arrested, and then
"that went down the memory hole."

(20,453 posts)First of all, I hope you don't discount that there are situations where "if you leave enough inept controls in place", lots of snafus will enable more and more people to get behind another war state. I call this MIHOP because people let it happen.
By not paying attention to the presidential briefing, you have people ignoring the title of that briefing, "Bin Ladin determined to strike in U S" http://www.cnn.com/2004/images/04/10/whitehouse.pdf Yes... MIHOP, and then lots of lies to justify it.
It's not a far cry to think it easy to "gin up" lots of violence by willful ignorance for a purpose. There are a lot of people who want to go to war in countries where we can kill lots of brown people. The war mongers don't sleep in this country, and the incidents of thinking globally and acting locally are not CT to me.
