There's nothing so romantic and quintessentially hibernal as skating rinks. Since the days of Torvill and Dean, the UK has excelled at creating them.
Never was a good skater with my weak and skinny ankles, but have always loved the fairyland atmosphere.

Welcome. My first "rink" was a dammed up section of the stream that ran through the city park.

ice skates. I haven't skated since junior high . We had a pond in a vacant lot and all the neighborhood kids would go over there to play hockey. Thanks for posting.
