After the rapture - Who will take care of your pets

Funny as shit - but people are making money from it - Religion: when the first fool met the first con man

?t=8

From the site:

"We have created a database structure that is stored on multiple secure servers, with multi-location online and offline password-protected backups. While I don’t intend to be here when the Rapture occurs, we are building a network of non-Christians who have agreed to rescue and care for our members’ pets if we all disappear."

A "network of non-Christians" - maybe Moslems? Jesuss, the funny does not quit on this--

Different tenets believe differently. Anglican, Presbyterian and Church of England do believe animals can have souls (I too used to use the "that's what I was told" routine to avoid researching on my own should I suspect it may invalidate my biases)

is truly infinite. And the people who came up with this scam are laffing their asses off all the way to the bank. "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public." H.L. Mencken

"We started with a monthly fee, and people accused us of running a scam of some sort.

We wanted to eliminate that stumbling block, so we tried having the registry be free and using Google Adsense and other ways to bring some money in to pay our expenses.

Then, a lot of anti-Christian jerks started submitting fake memberships and cluttering up our database.

So we have settled on charging a one-time 10 dollar registration fee to discourage fake sign-ups, while being only a small amount for serious people. You will never pay another dime, your information is kept secure (never ever shared with anyone outside our organization), and you have peace of mind."

Probably making a bundle off the x-tian rubes!

...a.k.a. The Bible

Romans 8

[19] For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God;
[20] for the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will but by the will of him who subjected it in hope;
[21] because the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and obtain the glorious liberty of the children of God.
[22] We know that the whole creation has been groaning in travail together until now;
[23] and not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.

Isaiah 11:6

"The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them."

And Revelation 5:13

[13] And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all therein, saying, "To him who sits upon the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might for ever and ever!"

It has a prancing horse on the fender so I think it should qualify under the broad heading of pets. I would certainly consider it my pet. I'll put it in the garage right next to my '97 Mercury Tracer so it will have a friend.

Every pet in our home was adopted in similar circumstances. They are all the Left Behind.

The saddest thing, even without rapture, religious fundamentalists are frequently unkind to their fellow humans, children, pets, and even livestock.
