2. Brownback is still arguing

that it DID work

and most of them point to 1983 and try to claim that it worked.

Even more recently, the Bush tax cuts passed in 2001, and the crash was not until 2008. The period of 2003 - 2007 still looks more prosperous than 2010-14.

Also, even though they demonstrably give much of the money to the rich - they almost never admit that is what they are doing. The media talks about Brownback's "tax cuts" for example. Except they really have been "tax shifts", because for 40% of the poorest Kansans, taxes went UP because of Brownback.

The poorest 40% needs to hear that, but instead they will hear this basic frame

Republicans - want to cut taxes
Democrats - against tax cuts
