Law enforcement has set up a command post at the Jr.High school in Burns

<snip>

junior high school in downtown Burns remained closed to the public, with law enforcement workers replacing the students and teachers who were previously scheduled to fill its halls for the first day back from the winter break.

Instead, school is canceled for the week and the building has become a makeshift police command post. All local government offices were also closed.

Roads within a block of the building were cordoned off while an officer guarded the school's front doors. Men emerged from vehicles parked outside, carrying large metal boxes. One box was labeled "laptops."

At the Burns Municipal Airport, an unmarked SUV blocked one entrance while a state trooper stood guard in his car at the other. A large military-type vehicle blocked a third entrance.

Destroy a beautiful heritage site (lovely stone buildings built by the CC decades ago) that acts as the center of operations on an enormous wildlife sanctuary...in order to deal with trespassers who can easily be blockaded and starved out without bloodshed.

They will be exposed as losers and cowards when they are forced to leave by the cold and lack of food and toilet paper. Killing them would make them martyrs. Making them a laughing stock before they are jailed will discourage others from following their example.

Set up a blockade, and tell them all utilities, as well as all communications and access in and out, will stop in 24 hours, and if they decide to stay just ride it out. As they come out arrest them for trespassing.
Simple, and let everyone know that this is the template for any similar events in the future. When they lose heat, cell phones and - most importantly - coverage on CNN, they will quickly lose their revolutionary zeal.

other agencies. A geographically large county with just 7,000 residents. They are not equipped to do blockades, they lack equipment and personnel.
Even if that was exactly what they wanted to do, they could not without help and could not without time. It's not a rich county. It's a poor county.

than my state and any others I know of, local officials always have the ability to call in the State Police when they need additional resources. The Governor could even call in the National Guard if they are needed.
They need to put an end to this.

It took a while to get the help he needed because it's a very remote area and there have been heavy snowstorms making travel slow and sketchy.

Posted 9am this morning; says they are preparing to block roads and cut power. Here is a link:

on edit: story also says they are going to cut off telecommunications, which means no more CNN coverage of these pathetic rebel wannabees.

Thought that might be an interesting fact. Larger than Vermont, 7,000 people and a Sheriff who took office Jan 1st.
I'm glad to read about the presence of other, larger and better equipped agencies.

... crammed into those bitty desk-chair things.

With chief agents yelling "don't put your gum under the desktop".

They should feel right at home at a Jr High School.

Well, as long as they appear to be doing something.

This needs to be added to the fines. BIG GOVERNMENT needs to take away everything these people have, and every penny they'll ever earn in the future.
