(7,670 posts)the ad you posted is sending a message that Rep. Cole, in voting no on HB 758 is making children a target. Over the top, yes, a threat, implied or not, against Rep. Cole, no.

(9,951 posts)it reeks, but then, I really expected nothing less.

(7,670 posts)Where is the threat in the ad you posted?
GGJohn
(9,951 posts)repukes wanted to win, yet, when there's a target on children, an ad put out by the gun control group Brady org, controllers are ok with it.
Yeah, that's rank hypocrisy.
And tell us where is the threat in the NRA ad?
The ad is mocking the 2 NY legislator's bill to limit ammo purchases, it's not threatening them.

(7,670 posts)with the people in the Polaroids being targets of someone nefarious, so sure, I can see the implied threat there. The Brady ad is over the top with its message, sure, but it certainly isn't a threat.
Also, it wasn't gun controllers that "went nuts" with Palin's ad, its Democrats you are talking about, are you sure you are on the right website?
GGJohn
(9,951 posts)So why would our party go nuts over that ad, yet, for the most part, are ok with the Brady ad?
You don't call that hypocrisy?
How about this Democratic Party ad with bulls eyes on these states? Are they ok?
My point is that both sides do stupid ads.

(7,670 posts)the pictures. It looks the like the tabletop of a hitman, and there are quite a few movies and video games that have used that trope before.
It would be like the difference between Palin's ads targeting states and districts and instead putting a person's picture in gun sights, which would be way over the top and an implied if not overt threat.

That's pretty much ALL they NRA does!
