http://www.king5.com/story/news/local/stories-worth-sharing/2016/01/08/seattle-essay-contest-free-apartment/78516842/SEATTLE A unique contest is asking contestants to write a 350-word essay to win a one bedroom apartment in Seattles Queen Anne/Magnolia or Ballard neighborhoods rent free for a year.
A landlord who wants to remain anonymous decided he wanted to help people struggling to pay rent. Seattle has some of the most expensive rents in the country.
The essay contest is posted at www.essayforfreeapartment.com.
Contestants need to answer this question: How would a free apartment for one year help you reach your goals in 10 years?
Walls Property Management who's overseeing this essay contest says people should be concise and thoughtful when writing their essay.

In addition, as a former advertising/PR specialist, I know what goes over and what doesn't. So that advice, too, comes free.
I'll only do the first three essays, though. I'm on winter break, after all.
