Despite all the ratings-grabbing doom-and-gloom economic reporting, record numbers of jobs have been created for three months in a row, and, like clockwork, for three months in a row Fox News yackers have had to embarrass themselves finding ways to downplay it. The latest example is pond-scum, plutocrat-apologist Stuart Verney claiming that the 292,000 jobs that were added last December is 'modest by historical standards.' But if you're ACTUALLY interested in history instead of pro-plutocrat propaganda, over the nearly 100 years that the BLS has been recording job growth, job growth has only been higher than this about 18% of the time. Somebody needs to explain to this gin-breathed, chinless piss-head that being in the top 18% is not "modest."

This marks the third month in a row of strong job growth, and the third month in a row that Fox News hosts have had to make fools of themselves, struggling to find a way to make it sound bad. The FIRST (and best) example of this was the hilarious show that Fox & Friends put on in October, when they said "only 271,000 jobs were created in October, when analysts were expecting as many as 80,000 jobs...DERP!"

(9,327 posts)He's a typical republican asshole that believes he is underpaid and literally everyone else in the world is overpaid. He honestly believes he works "really hard" spewing toxic nonsense for a few hours a week. He is seriously the most vile talking head on TV. He's just not very famous so many people don't realize how horrible of a person he is.

(23,156 posts)some here think the economy still sucks big time and that the creation of 292,000 jobs isn't very much, because after all, the REAL unemployment rate is so much higher than the official one.
For some people the glass is always half empty.
Yeah, I know the point of the OP is what idiots the Fox anchors are, but they're not the only ones, alas.
