The Constitution of the right wing nuts!

I was at a bar/restaurant in Wyoming on Friday night, having dinner and a beer. I overheard a conversation that blew me away. A group was talking about guns and Obama. They said that gun sales triple in a week after Obama announced his new plan. They think Obama is violating their 2nd amendment. One of them said he has order 5 AK47s also some other high powered guns and plenty of ammo.

I ask one simple question, why not just have one or two smaller caliber weapons instead of having stock pile powered arms, that someone could start an their own army with. I was biting my tongue to ask them this question, but in the end, I thought better of it. Never smart to start a conversation with un informed people.

2. How much debt will these people put themselves in for their fears?

I know these guns are expensive. Unless they are rich I suspect they are amassing credit card debt. You have to wonder about their finances.

I mean we have shopaholics, alchoholics, and all kinds of other -olics so it only stands to reason that there must be a segment of the gun owning population who are addicted to buying guns. It's a compulsion where irrational fear of the "other" serves as a convenient excuse.

it's best not to speak out. Those are the type who will follow you around until they find an opportunity to intimidate you personally. WY and MT and ID are not places where you can joke around about this sh*t... it doesn't end well for those blessed with independent cognition. Unless you KNOW the folks who have such conversations, not a conversation to invite oneself into.

they are more likely to find out where you live and work and make you miserable by stalking and nasty little hints that something bad could happen to you and they could get away with it... at least that's how they try to harass me. I've been there, done that... walking around with imaginary targets on my temples. It's not pleasant at all, requires nerves of steel.

"A well regulated militia" doesn't mean what you appear to think it does.

The bill of rights also does not function the way it appears you think it does.

Free clue: The only entity capable of violating amendment 2, is a governmental entity.
