Everyone I talked to about town today in Oregon had bought at least one ticket. But only one person dreamed at the billionaire level. People said, "I'm buying a new house" or "If you win, I want to be your maid." I'll hook her up with the guy who buys the White House if he wins.
On the home front here in Oregon, the #FreeRangeNuts are the laughing stock of the state if you are not in Burns. More importantly, people are rather pissed about how Burns has been abused by outsiders for their political hate fest. And, the community has begun to clean house, it seems, with the fire chief resigning today. I wonder if the other Committee of Safety people are going to head out to #Bundyland? Tim White, the Republican Chair who headed the Committee of Safety which formed the militia in Harney County, comes to mind. The people in the community who started all this with Ammon Bundy will need to be held to account. The fire chief resigning today is just the beginning, I suspect.
I love this new hashtag #FreeRangeNuts. Any ideas on a good meme to go with it? With a little help from my friends, I think we can give the stupid nut circus a really good, sharp "poke" to get them on down the trail.
