None of these people understand that the mastodon in the room is wealth inequality ... the structural problem in the economy that is killing working and middle class Americans.
In my opinion, Pres. Obama has never understood this or wanted to admit this, either. Clearly the Repuglicans still fantasize that cutting taxes for the uber-rich will solve all problems. But Hillary Clinton is just the Democrats version of that ... relatively minor adjustments around the edges that don't change much.
Only one person running in the major parties gets it ... even uses the word 'revolution' because the economic problem is that deep and profound. We either bite the bullet and vote for revolutionary change or poor, working and middle class Americans are doomed.
The market is going down because most Americans don't have any spending power, are still being nickeled-and-dimed to death by health care costs, local taxes, subsidies to the rich, public and college education costs, no retirement. Meanwhile all Hillary can do is call for a surcharge on those making $5 million+ ($5 million!) and more of the same.
We need Single Payer and we need new high taxes on the rich to force them to either invest in jobs or have the government take the money from them ... and then the government can spend it on infrastructure, research, etc.
Elect Sanders President and watch prosperity finally return to the U.S. -- or elect a Repuglican or a Clinton and watch the decline keep going on and on.
I doubt there even looking at the election at this point. It's China and oil prices crashing.
