Alan Rickman is honored by his fans at Harry Potter World

From buzzfeed:

"Fans at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter performed a eulogy for Rickman and Snape, and honoured him by raising their wands in the air."

"Fans are also leaving flowers outside Snape’s office door in the castle."

"Though it was this shot of a single lily outside the Potions Classroom that really fucked people up."

This is a lovely tribute... especially the lily outside the Potions classroom.

My favorite actor of all time... there wasn't a role he played, serious, sinister, or fun in which he didn't excel. Let's talk Marvin in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. What he could do with that amazing voice. I have always been happy that he was able to portray Snape in all the Potter films... no one else could ever be Snape.

BTW.. Rickman has a godson, Tom Burke, who is also an actor. Burke is currently in War and Peace which will air this Monday in the US and he is also one of the stars of the BBC Series, The Musketeers, playing Athos. Apparently, Rickman had a great influence on him, along with Burke's actor parents, and Burke seems to possess the acting chops of his godfather. Hopefully, Rickman's legacy will live on.

Can you imagine the delicious roles he could have brought to the screen as an old codger?
