Any Chrome users noticing weird stuff w/embedded videos?

This just began happening. In Chrome, I see this where a video should be:

Same link in Internet Explorer (which is how Chrome used to look):

This just started today, I think. Maybe yesterday?

Any help would be great!

Yes, it appears just to be Youtube. Vimeo works fine. Bizarre as Chrome and YT are Google products. CurtEastPoint Jan 2016 #6

I dont't know the source but you should be using Ublock. Adblock was bought out and is compromised. Ford_Prefect Jan 2016 #9

I haven't had any problems since I switched. The story goes that Adblock was bought out by an anonymous player. Not long after that time there have been odd problems like the one you mention above. I can't confirm who bought it.

It appears that someone like Google is the likely buyer. Google and others were paying Adblock Plus to white-list their ads. http://techcrunch.com/2013/07/06/google-and-others-reportedly-pay-adblock-plus-to-show-you-ads-anyway/

Its been posted that so-called "acceptable ads" function was enabled by the new owner of the Adblock tool. That is probably what you saw.

You need to disable and remove the Adblock extension if you have it. Then install Ublock. That should fix your problems.
