This post is NOT about the Dem primary. This IS about the crap-ass media with which this country is plagued.
Listening to the Media commentary about last night's Dem debate, that i watched from start to finish, sounds as if it is about a different event. The narrative is about how the participants went after each other tooth and nail, hammer and tong, breathing fire, and attempting to draw blood.
The event I saw had the participants respectfully *debating* each other. It was also clear to me that the participants liked and respected each other. To be sure, they were opponents, but I never saw the hot emotions the media would have us believe took were on display.
In the lead up to the event the language used by our asshole media was very much like what one would expect to hear in a promo for the Sooper Bowl or World Series, not a serious debate by people aspiring to win enough votes to become the next President.
John Stewart, some years ago, said it to the clowns who hosted CNN's thankfully defunct "Crossfire", the words that still apply: "Why are you hurting America?"
More focused would be a commentary on the debate moderators. They were, in a word, awful, with "Mitch" clearly trying to get sparks flying, and with the candidates, to their immense credit, telling her, essentially, to just shut up and cut the crap.
Last night I awarded her the coveted "Fuck You" prize. Winning the Stinky The Clown Fuck You Prize means the lucky media whore who wins it is doing the job their owners are paying for: the dumbing down of America. So without further ado, a replay of last night's award:
Fuck You, Mitch.
Note, this post is about the MEDIA, not the primaries. No candidates are mentioned; no candidate is endorsed. No endorsements are even implied. THE POST IS ABOUT THE MEDIA!!
Period!

Maybe I should thank the media baboons, I have been reading some good books as of late.
