I think I know exactly which two you are talking about. I wondered what happened to them. I thought maybe I drove the one over the brink. She kept sending me PMs and I kept expressing my concerns in regards to her mental health. She tried very hard to get me to take her bait, but I think that the more I expressed my concern for her the angrier she got. It got to a point where she wasn't making any sense at all. I thought maybe she finally went for professional counseling to gain help for the anger and stress she was imposing on herself. In the end I suggested she take a nap, make a nice cup of tea or enroll in a yoga class.

But I use it pretty liberally now. I go through periodically and clear it again. It keeps me from blowing up and getting a hide. And it does feel somewhat satisfying to basically put some of these people on mute 😀 I will say, I've needed it more in the last few months than I ever have before. It's gotten pretty wild around here.

BTW, Thank you, Steve, for all you've done and for fighting the good fight.

Temporary works well. I too am proud of my lack of use of Ignore. I do use it occasionally, but never permanently. My daily trips down DU Lane inform me who should be ignored, and who should not.

However, I choose to listen to the discussion and manually ignore the kooks. (Or alert on them.)

I want to know who posting smack about me. The thing I wonder about, is how many DUers have me on ignore. I bet it's not too many. I don't post all that much and don't challenge too many others in my posts.

The weird thing is, can the people who have me on ignore see this post, since it's not a reply to a post of theirs?

and that I can actually read 25 responses!

That makes this a good thread

I have a short ignore list but there are actually times when I see that there are supposed to be a couple dozen responses and I can only see a handful. That situation reminds me that Ignore is actually a good thing. I'm not missing out on a discussion but I am missing out on an epeen contest.

I've recently discovered the "trash" feature. I think it is even more useful than "ignore".
