Snow doesn't stop everything.
Somebody will be out there. Plow truck drivers. Sanding truck drivers. Law enforcement. Not everyone will be settling down in front of the TV with a third cup of cocoa.

British Railways takes on the snow in the winter of 1962-1963.
(I have edited the title to note that Great Britain's rail system was not known as British Rail until 1965. Hat tip to Wikipedia and some train spotters across the pond.)

Snow (1963 film)
Snow is a short documentary film made by Geoffrey Jones for British Transport Films in 1962-1963. The 8-minute long film shows the efforts of British Railways staff in coping with the 1963 United Kingdom cold wave. An example of "pure cinema", it was nominated for an Academy Award in 1965.
* But there's always an exception, isn't there?
