and a kind of "heavy" hushed feeling when snow storm approaches.
also the smell of snow coming.

and a line of no-visibility creeping ever closer, across the meadow until it just engulfed our house and us. It somehow raises your survival ganglia. It's a weird feeling.

the cursing at work when they finally close the office at 3:00 and then you have the two hour commute home AND it's Friday so you won't even get a day off of work because tomorrow is Saturday...
